editing

when editing i found timing a difficulty as i had a lot of footage, so much that i made the decision to cut out the establishing shots at the beginning and add a flash back/home movie part on. this helped solve the issue of time, as well as creating the childlike innocence i wanted to create at the beginning. 

throughout my editing i used a range of sound effects as well as two different songs, the songs were titles possibilities and summit. the importance of sound in films is often over estimated but i really wanted to focus on the sound and the emotion that comes across. i used the websites audio network and free sfx.
