Album Cover Research

all of these albums have certain similarities for example the clear representation of the text and the calm natural tones. many of them are very art based and use photos in an interesting way.

difference depend mostly on where they are coming from weather thats a church releasing and album or an individual or a band. depending on which one it is the cover art will usually be different.

when looking into worship albums and their covers i have to decide what specific kind of album i am releasing. there are worship albums that are specifically for artists and then there are worship albums released by churches.

This is the cover art from the band Rend Collective Experiment on their album The Art Of Celebration here there is a picture to do with the idea and the name of the album but although this is a member of the bad it is not clear that this has anything to do with the band and their image. commonly in worship albums released by a group or a church there is no specific face or picture of the bad as the music isn't about the Artis or the bad but about worshiping God.

this cover fits into the sub genre of irish folk as rend collective produce music that are of the worship folk genre. their album cover has faded covers and is in a natral place re enforcing the rural and natural sound they have.

the song my shepherd came from the album my king:

Album Covers- The Beatles

the Beatles

in this cover of sgt peppers lonely heart club band it fits into the surreal influences that were  extremely popular at the time. here the Beatles are surrounded by famous historical people implying that they are making history with their music.

this is slightly unconventional as usually there would only be the band or artist of the front but here they are surrounded by others suggesting their branding as a band is so well known that they can be surrounded by others and they stand out.

despite the fact they are standing amongst others they still stand out in their bright military uniforms and the name Beatles is written in flowers, giving the album a slightly strange eery feel as flower letters are clear reminders of funarals opening the question is this representing the end of the beateles?

What is a Digipack?

What is a Digipack?

. a digipack usually consists of 4-8 panel net ( that will eventually be folded)

. this is different from an album as it involves video extras and maybe audio extras

. certain features are expected on the certain faces of the net
- front: on the front of the digipack there is usually an image involving the face of the artist and the name of the artist as well as the album name this is to clearly define the brand and theme

- back: the back of the didipack involves the full list of the songs and any other content on the digipack
-CD tray: here there would be space for a CD likely to be consistent to the theme and the brand of the artist

. one of the key aspects of a digipack is to establish brad image and theme usually this is done by showing the artists face clearly so they can be clearly recognised
